The Southdown is one of the oldest breeds of sheep and has been established in the UK for over 200 years.
It produces a medium wool of 23 - 29 microns and a staple length of 4 - 6 cm; traditionally woollen-spun, it produces a wonderfully springy yarn which is very versatile.
Please not this fibre is NOT superwash so anything you create from it will need to be hand washed
